Windows 11 was released on 5/10/21 on newly built laptops and computers. Although some old and existing stock in shops may still have Windows 10 installed but advertised with a free upgrade to Windows 11 when available.

Existing Windows Users

To check compatibility, click on the “Check for updates” button under the “Settings” Heading. On unsupported PCs, you’ll get a direct message from Windows Update explaining the compatibility status of the PC, In the below example, the PC is not compatible with Windows11.

For existing Windows 10 users there is a Windows 11 PC Health Check app that scans your computer to see if it's eligible for the major Windows update.
